It is recommended that you have a voice lesson once each week. Aside from missed lessons due to planned vacations or illness, a weekly lesson is necessary to establish good habits and progress forward.
Can I learn to sing in a few months?
Vocal study usually becomes a life-long pursuit. It takes time (years), dedication and a desire to succeed. While learning to sing properly takes knowledge and practice, it provides a sense of joy, fulfillment and satisfaction.
Do I need to read music to study voice?
No, but you will learn how to read music in your voice lessons. Basic music reading skills are recommended even for novice singers.
